Hi I am Lisa! I love to sew, knit, smock and embroider! Welcome to Pink Hollybush Designs! I live in beautiful New England, am mother to three lovely children(my oldest two are off to college and my youngest is in high school), and wife to an overworked and wonderful husband. I learned to embroider and use the sewing machine from my Great Aunt Florence when I was about 5. I taught myself to smock using iron-on dots and Kitty Benton’s book when my oldest daughter was 2. The dots were the end of me and I didn’t try smocking again until a friend offered to pleat fabric for me. The next thing I knew I was making Christmas dresses for both my daughters while my son was crawling around. I added knitting to the mix when our babysitter taught my daughter to knit. I have been teaching myself ever since. Pink Hollybush specializes in beautiful cottons for fashion sewing and smocking as well as some lovely and unusual patterns. Check it out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/pinkhollybush. This blog is my chance to show the beautiful things I am making with our fabrics, provide some inspiration, and hopefully give some tips along the way. I love to receive comments and I hope you enjoy my blog.
